Project: “Vau Dejes as Tourist Destination”.
Objective of assignment Nr 1: Conduct a training needs analysis for capacity building programmes in the area of entrepreneurship, hospitality services, tourist guides marketing and crafts.
Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to provide a detailed analysis of the available capacities of the target groups young men and women for the rural and urban area and their training needs important to have a clear picture on the situation in the region and to prepare a capacity building programme for all the categories of tourism and hospitality profiles, local products and crafts.
Results: Identification and prepare a list of potential young people and other categories of 200-210 persons to be included in the TNA (in cooperation with Vau Dejes Municipality), including unemployed people and people already working in the tourism field in the target profiles.
– Analysis the current status of capacities on knowledge and skills in different profiles of entrepreneurship, hospitality services, tourist guides, marketing and crafts;
– Identification of gaps in the knowledge and skills and propose the topics for a capacity building programme for specific profiles;
– Compilation of the findings in a short Report to be used for preparation of training programmes;
Objective of assignment Nr 2: Conduct trainings to incite the creativity and urge to the creation of new business ideas in hospitality, agro-tourism, tourism services and selection the best business ideas to train the potential candidates in entrepreneurship and business plan preparation and mentoring them to support in full preparation of business plans in the sectors of tourism and hospitality.
Conduct of a training needs analysis for capacity building programmes in the area of entrepreneurship, hospitality services, tourist guides, marketing and crafts, VET etc;
Design curricula – innovation, green processes, digitalization, tourism business development, leadership, lean start-ups, business plan development, access to finance;
Conduct trainings to incite the creativity and urge to the creation of new business ideas in hospitality, agro-tourism, tourism services;
Select best business ideas and train the potential candidates in entrepreneurship;
Assist business plan preparation and mentoring in the sectors of tourism and hospitality.
The assignment foreseen organization of workshop to discuss with the participants on the possibilities to develop business ideas in the region. This will incite the person to start formulating their ideas, even for the person that have desire, but no a crystal idea. Then for 2 days of the first year, a group of around 30 persons will be interviewed to identify the business ideas and to select the at least 20 of them to continue with training process. For 4 days the experts should explain the concept of entrepreneurship and all the element for preparation of a business plan, together with the procedures for starting a business and the business management issues. Prior to start the training the experts will provide the agenda and the training modules and the methodology and Action Plan with the distribution of working days will be arranged and fine-tune with the project staff. The project intends to provide the same format in two consecutive years, starting and implementing the deliverable 1-4 from March- April 2023 and December January 2024 and the Mentoring to be linked with the period of time when the calls for proposal for obtaining the sub-grants starts. The training will be provided in the VAU DEJES area. The project staff will support in organization of the venue and the training logistics and if everything is needed. There will be 2 experts to implement the consultancy.
Results: Raising the capacities of 40 persons for 2 rounds of training organised on the years 2023 and 2024, on the following indicators to achieve:
60 persons (3 groups in total) consulted for (2+1 day) days to urge business ideas,
50 persons (30+20 each year) for (2+1) days interviewed to select the best ideas
40 persons (20+20 each year) for 8 days training on business plan preparation and business management for both years,
10 persons (second year) for 2 days each mentoring, on business plan preparation for application on an open call for sub-grants
