The study would addresses both internal and external factors affecting SME-s’ performances.
Project Implementation: A set of indicators are analysed among others such as: labour forces availability (both qualified and unskilled labours), productivity, technology adopted, infrastructure accessibility, access to credit, access to both national and international markets, incentives and institutional supports given in the Albanian market. The relevant data have been collected through interviews with a sample group of 100 SME-s, in order to measure to what extent mentioned indicators are fulfilled. It will provide the key benchmark indicators for effective interventions and for future reference in assessing how effective the SMEs have been in achieving their objectives. The survey targeted the SMEs of three regions for the pilote phase: Shkodra region, Tirana region and Durresi region. The survey also took into account the gender partition of the business sector, and its related gender gap, by thus being able to add a gender-disagregated perspective to the overall situation of the surveyed regions.
